What a start to the season. It was great to see the teams on the field and fully enthused. Again I thank the coaches, committee and all who have helped, it would not have happened without your input. I would also like to thank our sponsors for their support and financing our strips. They look great and will be here in the next week or two. Remember to use our sponsors when you require goods and services. They are supporting us and we would like to see them remain with the club.

Canteen & fundraising

We need volunteers to run the canteen. Our first two weeks of canteen duties were manned by a few volunteers, thank you to all who gave their time. Our next rostered canteen days will be announced in the next newsletter. If you can give any assistance immediately after your child's game for 15 minutes (as this seems to be the busiest time) we would appreciate your help.
The club benefits from the proceeds so don't be shy.
Corrie is also seeking ideas for fundraising, so get those think tanks going as Corrie would like to hear from you. Corrie's contact number is 41 240 712.

Fran Korhecz has offered her services to help with Media Releases and Publicity. Drop off point for photos, write ups and general info is at the canteen on Saturdays. Don't forget to write your name & number on your piece, which team & age bracket. Coaches are also invited to do a short write up on any highlights, notable performances, sportsman like behaviour etc. Mark & Fran can be contacted on 4125 6090

Can you assist

Each of the clubs has been allocated a field to look after and we have the responsibility of looking after and maintaining the juniors number 1 field. We are looking for volunteers to assist with net repairs, line marking and checking the playing area for rocks and dead coke cans etc prior to the Saturday games so the field is safe. We are also responsible for installing the corner and centre markers before the first game and putting them away after the final game.

We are experiencing problems with team balls disappearing from training sessions and match days. If you can think of ways to positively and permanently identify balls, please bring your ideas to the meeting.
