It is great to see everyone back and I would like to welcome all newcomers to the club.
I hope having the non-competitive junior games down at the cricket ground is not causing too many problems for families with players in competitive teams. We are currently working to reclaim our right of access and improve the state of the grounds in Tavistock St for next season.
Club Growth
With the growth of the club, now 400 strong, we find we need more helpers to
manage the coordination and running of club areas and events. If you are able
to assist in any way at all, or know someone you would like to dob in, please
contact either myself or a committee member. I can be contacted at the Hervey
Bay United Sports Club in Tavistok St or by phone 4125 7701 or email roperhervey@dingoblue.net.au
To ensure the club continues on a positive and focused path we are holding a strategic planning session this Sunday 27 May starting at 8.30am and finishing at 3pm, lunch and tea and coffees will be provided. It is a long day but vital to the future direction of the club. We are keen to see representation from players, coaches, team managers, parents and supporters. This is not just committee planning and decision making session, we need and look forward to your input too.
Enjoy the game
